- Chapter 19 - Chapter 19 – Sneaking Into The Wan Xie Mansion, Killing the Second Young Master!
That night!
A cold, pale moon hung high in the sky.
A mansion, located to the south of Nanjian City, was brightly lit, with fully armed disciples of the Xie Sect patrolling the grounds.
Outside the mansion, four large watchtowers stood tall, each guarded by Xie Sect experts with exceptional eyesight, constantly scanning the thick darkness. Yet, despite being highly trained sentinels, none of them noticed the figure lurking in the shadows, watching them intently.
“Wan Xie Mansion.”
“The Xie Sect’s stronghold in Nanjian City.”
Ning Ye’s eyes swept across the heavily guarded mansion, his brow twitching slightly.
Clearly, Su Baizhou had been brought here by Luo Yang. Once the Xie Sect’s main forces gathered tomorrow, Luo Yang would take Su Baizhou to Tianmen Pass to deliver her to the Xie Sect’s Young Master, Luo Zhiye.
Therefore, tonight was the best opportunity to act!
With that thought in mind, Ning Ye carefully sensed the auras within the mansion.
“There are at least a dozen Transcendence realm warriors here!”
“Moreover, there are two strong auras that have reached the peak of Star Condensation Realm!”
“This is quite the formidable lineup!”
Ning Ye muttered to himself, rubbing his brow.
In the original storyline, Xiao Tu would find Su Baizhou’s coffin and, using a drop of the Abyss Dragon’s true blood, melt the ice coffin and awaken Su Baizhou. She would then massacre the entire Wan Xie Mansion.
But Ning Ye did not have the Abyss Dragon’s true blood, so everything depended on his own abilities.
Fortunately, he had already unlocked the second battle state—Heaven’s Seal—so even the two Xie Sect elders at the peak of the Star Condensation Realm wouldn’t be able to stop him. The only thing he had to worry about was time, as the Xie Sect’s main forces were on their way!
“Su Baizhou is in the underground palace of Luo Zhiye’s sleeping quarters.”
His thoughts paused here.
With a swift motion, Ning Ye stepped into the air, using the Heavenly Demon Eight Steps to transform into a strange black shadow, vanishing into the Wan Xie Mansion right under the noses of the four watchtower guards.
The Wan Xie Mansion was built with great extravagance—small bridges, flowing water, pavilions, and towers, everything one could imagine.
Ning Ye moved forward, swiftly bypassing layers of guards and soon arrived at the central palace of the mansion.
“Finally, the Xie Palace!”
Ning Ye stood atop the palace, and just then, sounds of flirtation between a man and a woman could be heard from inside:
“Young Master, do you like this servant?”
“Of course I like you!”
“Then when will you marry me, Young Master?”
“Hehehe, we’ll talk about that later!”
……
“Xie Sect!”
“Luo Zhiye’s brother!”
“Luo Yang!”
Ning Ye smiled, then quickly vanished from the top of the palace.
……
In the Xie Palace’s sleeping chambers.
The curtains of the bed hung low.
Through the veil, one could faintly see two figures lying together, indulging in affectionate whispers.
Ning Ye, who had silently entered the chamber, sat down with a calm smile, pouring himself a cup of wine. He drank it down in one go, then leisurely spoke with amusement: “As expected of the Xie Sect’s second young master!”
“Quite the romantic, huh!”
Just as his words fell, Luo Yang, still lost in his tender moment, suddenly opened his eyes. But before he could react, a severed head fell into his lap.
Upon closer inspection, it was the head of his woman, Jiaor. Blood spurted from her severed neck, splashing across his face and instantly sending a chill down his spine, causing cold sweat to pour from his forehead.
“Ah!!”
Luo Yang’s face turned pale, and he was about to scream in horror.
But a hand had already reached through the curtains, grabbing his throat and dragging him out of the bed, forcing him up, drenched in blood.
“Ugh… ugh….!”
Luo Yang was being held by Ning Ye by the throat, suspended in the air like a helpless chick, his once handsome face now flushed with a deep purple.
Though Luo Yang’s cultivation was at a high level of Transcendence realm, before the man in front of him, who seemed to be around the same age, he felt as powerless as an ant, desperately kicking his legs in vain.
Finally, Ning Ye loosened his grip.
Clang!
Luo Yang fell to the ground with a thud, gasping for air in relief, his face full of fear as he looked at Ning Ye and asked in a trembling voice:
“Y-You… Who are you?”
Ning Ye didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he lifted his foot and placed it firmly on Luo Yang’s head. With just a little more force, Luo Yang’s head would explode like a watermelon, and it seemed he knew that, so he curled up, trembling in fear.
“Second Young Master.”
“Listen carefully to what I say next.”
“Whatever I say, you do.”
“Do not ask what you shouldn’t ask.”
“If you dare say another word, you will die!”
“Do you understand?”
The cold voice reached Luo Yang’s ears, making him feel like he had fallen into an ice cavern. His voice shook as he replied: “I… I understand!”
“Hmm!”
Ning Ye, satisfied with the answer, slowly moved his foot away from Luo Yang’s head.
“Very good!”
“Now, Second Young Master, please open the underground palace and show me.”
Damn it!
Luo Yang’s heart sank as he realized Ning Ye was here for the girl in the ice coffin. While everything else could be dealt with, that girl was the one who would decide his future. The problem was, if he didn’t do exactly as Ning Ye said, he would die a terrible death!
“What’s wrong?”
“Second Young Master unwilling?”
Ning Ye asked, his voice neither too soft nor too loud.
“No… No!”
Luo Yang quickly shook his head and slowly stood up. Obediently, he walked to the bedside, lifted the pillow, and opened a hidden compartment. He then reached in and turned a stone mechanism.
Click! Click! Click!
The sound of a mechanism turning echoed.
After a short while, a stone staircase leading to the underground palace appeared before Ning Ye’s eyes—clearly the entrance.
“Sir, can you let me go now?”
Luo Yang gritted his teeth and asked in a low voice.
“What do you think?”
Ning Ye replied with a smile, then without hesitation, grabbed Luo Yang and dragged him into the underground palace.
……
The vast underground palace was filled with the beast cores, herbs, martial arts techniques, and divine weapons that the Xie Sect disciples had collected from the Shiwanda Mountains over the years. However, after a brief glance, Ning Ye withdrew his gaze. Although these cultivation resources were decent, they held no significant value to him.
Finally, his gaze fell on the stone coffin in the center of the underground palace.
“Found it!”
Ning Ye smiled slightly.
At that moment, Luo Yang, quick to react, took out a rare teleportation jade from his storage ring, ready to crush it and escape.
Clang!!!
A sharp, blazing sword light flashed, and amidst the splatter of blood, Luo Yang’s arm was severed and sent flying through the air, landing on the ground.
“Ah!!!”
A heart-wrenching scream echoed through the underground palace.
“Second Young Master.”
“I told you.”
“Don’t do things you shouldn’t do!”
“Why make things harder for yourself?”
Ning Ye shook his head as he looked at Luo Yang, lying on the ground, clutching his severed arm, his blood gushing out as he cried out in pain.
“You little bastard, I will kill you!”
“How dare you sever my arm? The Xie Sect will tear you apart piece by piece in the future!”
Luo Yang, like a wounded beast, snarled hatefully at Ning Ye.
Upon hearing this, Ning Ye nodded thoughtfully, then stepped forward and, without hesitation, stomped his foot onto Luo Yang’s chest.
Crack!!!
Luo Yang’s chest caved in, and all his bones shattered instantly, causing him to die on the spot.
“Enough of the noise!”
Ning Ye muttered, then slowly walked toward the stone coffin.
“Luo Yang is dead, and his life jade is shattered!”
“The Xie Sect experts in the Wan Xie Mansion should have realized by now that I’ve infiltrated the underground palace.”
“Not only that… The main forces of the Xie Sect outside Nanjian City should have received the news and are likely rushing here as well.”
“There isn’t much time left.”
