After school, Gu Junqing went to pick up Lin Qingzhu and take her home. Tomorrow’s grand drama was about to begin—how could it proceed without its leading lady?

When Gu Junqing arrived at Lin Qingzhu’s school, he found that most of the students had already left.

He strolled into the campus, intending to find out where Lin Qingzhu was.

Along the way, several students who had just finished class stopped in their tracks upon seeing him.

They had never seen such a handsome man in their lives.

Moreover, he looked very familiar—almost like the Gu Junqing their teachers often praised as an academic role model.

Teachers frequently used Gu Junqing to motivate them, saying that if they could achieve even half of his academic excellence, they would rank among the top students in the school.

Noticing a girl nearby staring at him, Gu Junqing approached her with a polite smile and asked, “Hello, do you know Lin Qingzhu?”

The girl became so flustered she could barely speak.

“Y-yes, she’s in my class. She should still be in the classroom right now.”

After she stammered out her reply, Gu Junqing smiled and thanked her before heading in the direction she indicated.

The girl was utterly captivated by his smile and thought to herself, I’ll never wash my eyes again for the rest of my life!

When Gu Junqing reached Lin Qingzhu’s classroom, he was about to call out to her but noticed a chubby boy confessing his feelings to her.

“Lin… is your blood type square-shaped?”

Lin Qingzhu frowned, unsure what he meant.

“No.”

“Then why are you so perfect?”

Lin Qingzhu immediately felt secondhand embarrassment.

Her usual persona was pure and aloof, but his awkwardness made her want to dig a three-bedroom apartment into the ground out of sheer cringe.

Gu Junqing smirked coldly. How dare someone like him, without even considering his own appearance, try to hit on his little sister?

He walked over, patted the boy on the shoulder, and said, “Bro, your approach isn’t working. Let me show you how it’s done.”

He pulled the boy aside and gazed at Lin Qingzhu with the same intense expression the boy had used.

“Qingzhu, are you mixed-race?”

Lin Qingzhu felt helpless. Why was Junqing playing along too?

Still, she wanted to hear what cheesy line he would come up with. After all, he was far more attractive than the other boy.

So she mirrored his expression and looked into his eyes.

To the other boy, it looked like the two were sharing a deeply romantic moment, making him feel even more envious.

“Nope,” Lin Qingzhu replied seriously.

Then, in a low, magnetic, slightly hoarse, and irresistibly seductive voice, Gu Junqing said slowly, “Then why do you look so much like my dream girl?”

Lin Qingzhu’s face instantly flushed red. She felt shy and flustered.

She didn’t understand why, but when Gu Junqing delivered such a cheesy line, it felt incredibly captivating.

Especially when she looked into his deep, mesmerizing eyes—it felt as though she was falling into them. Her heart began racing uncontrollably.

Watching her reaction, Gu Junqing chuckled softly.

Although the other boy felt unwilling, he couldn’t bring himself to say anything when faced with Gu Junqing’s otherworldly handsome appearance.

The two of them looked perfectly matched, and he realized the gap between them was simply too great. He accepted defeat.

Of course, if this had been the protagonist, a fight would have been inevitable—it would have been too humiliating.

But at least he could learn how to flirt.

The boy quickly stepped forward, eager to learn.

“Bro, do you have some secret technique?”

Gu Junqing raised an eyebrow and examined his face.

“What you need right now might be an anti-grease kit.”

“Though honestly, it probably won’t help. You’re so greasy that even fate couldn’t make you greasier.” Gu Junqing patted his shoulder in a big-brotherly manner.

“Pfft.” Lin Qingzhu couldn’t hold back her laughter.

At that moment, Gu Junqing finally understood why ancient literature used such lavish descriptions of beauty.

Her artful smile, dimples blooming on her cheeks; her bright eyes clear and radiant; beauty unmatched in this world. Like a light cloud veiling the moon, like swirling snow carried by the wind.

He used to think ancient poets exaggerated with endless adjectives. But watching Lin Qingzhu smile now, he felt even those words were insufficient.

The ancients truly did not deceive.

Gu Junqing sighed softly and whispered in Lin Qingzhu’s ear, “If you keep laughing like that, you’ll really become my sweetheart.”

Lin Qingzhu’s eyes widened adorably.

“Hmph!”

She lightly hit him. I’m still young, she thought shyly to herself.

Yet within her newly awakened heart, a faint shadow had quietly taken root.

Gu Junqing coughed awkwardly. “Let’s go home!”

As for the boy who had witnessed their flirtation—and been called greasy—he had already left in tears.

Villains really couldn’t compare to protagonists.

Protagonists gave people the feeling that they could be challenged, tempting others into confrontations only to be humiliated later. Ordinary villains, however, radiated an untouchable aura.

The boy came from a moderately wealthy family and usually acted like a young master, ordering people around.

But facing Gu Junqing, he clearly sensed an intimidating presence that shouldn’t be provoked.

Gu Junqing suddenly thought that perhaps great Villain Luck could make minor villains willingly submit.

Lin Qingzhu smiled brightly, nodded, and followed Gu Junqing home.

The two walked side by side intimately.

Suddenly, Lin Qingzhu linked arms with him, pressing his arm lightly against her chest.

Gu Junqing looked surprised. “Didn’t you say I was a pervert?”

“You made me call you brother yesterday! What’s wrong with a sister linking arms with her brother?” Lin Qingzhu said righteously, though without much confidence.

Gu Junqing chuckled helplessly and let her do as she pleased. Keeping a little sister around didn’t seem so bad after all.

They walked home chatting and laughing, Lin Qingzhu skipping happily beside him.

Their shadows stretched longer and longer, growing increasingly close together.

Lin Qingzhu was truly beginning to see Gu Junqing as an older brother.

She even imagined how wonderful it would be if he were truly her brother.

In just two days, Gu Junqing had already left a deep impression on her. Perhaps this was the charm of a handsome, tall, and wealthy young man combined with a young girl’s innocent understanding of affection.

Let’s have a little skit.

Gu Junqing’s Simp Diary (1)

Gu Junqing: “Baby, I won’t be your simp anymore. From now on, we go our separate ways!”

“You walk your single-plank bridge, and I’ll support it from below. Please don’t fall, my baby!”

Murong Wan: “…………”

Gu Junqing: “Is Murong Wan talking about me again? What is she saying?”

“She always says I’m disgusting and tells me to get lost, but she never says that to anyone else—because I’m special.”

“Why doesn’t she tell others to get lost, only me? She must be worried I’ll get tired walking. How thoughtful. I like Wan’er even more now!”

Murong Wan: “…………”
