Lin Tian slowly raised his head and saw the person he least wanted to see in his life—the one he hated most. Everything he had done was to defeat this man, to ruin his family.

But what was he doing now? He was actually bowing and scraping to the one he hated most.

Lin Tian was driven mad with hatred.

“Why is it you? Why is it you?”

“Of course… of course. Only you would have such far-reaching power. So it was you behind all of this.” Lin Tian finally understood.

“You arranged everything! It was all you!”

His eyes were wide with rage, nearly splitting at the corners, consumed by hatred.

But seeing the numerous black-clad bodyguards surrounding them, he backed down.

“Gu Junqing, Gu Junqing, I’ve never offended you. Please let me go. I won’t clash with you anymore. Spare me, I beg you.”

Lin Tian directly knelt down and begged for mercy, clutching at Gu Junqing’s trousers.

His spirit had been completely broken.

Gu Junqing disgustedly pulled his leg away.

Then he leaned down and whispered into Lin Tian’s ear in a voice only he could hear, “Spare you? Would you spare me?”

“Murong Wan, whom you’ve secretly loved and deeply admired, is now my girlfriend. Yu Miaojin, whom you’ve always coveted and wanted as your woman, now only begs for pleasure beneath me.”

“Your so-called good brother Liu Yang turning against you was also my doing—I tempted him myself.”

“And your beloved younger sister has now become my maid, and in the future, she will be my woman too.”

“Your reputation will be despised by the public and shattered among your classmates after your repeated visits to casinos, bars, and gambling stone venues. A true social death.”

After speaking, a golden light suddenly shot from Gu Junqing’s pupils.

“And what’s more, your Golden Eyes are now mine!”

“So, would you still think of sparing me?”

Gu Junqing whispered these words into Lin Tian’s ear like a demon.

Lin Tian’s kneeling body trembled slightly as he roared, “You devil! You devil! Why are you doing this to me? Why?”

“Because if I had fallen, you would have done the same to me!”

Gu Junqing retorted coldly. He knew that in the original story, Gu Junqing had suffered such a miserable fate—even as a top-tier rich second generation, he had been toyed with by Lin Tian. Now, he was merely returning the favor.

Gu Junqing turned to leave. He didn’t want to see this defeated dog anymore. Since Lin Tian had lost his protagonist status, he no longer cared to pay him any attention.

Lin Tian roared in despair. He would rather perish together with Gu Junqing.

He snatched a blade that had just been used to cut stones nearby and tried to slash at Gu Junqing.

His enhanced physique hadn’t been lost along with the Golden Eyes; his physical abilities were still several times that of an ordinary person.

So if this strike landed, Gu Junqing would be hard-pressed to survive.

An evil glint flashed in Lin Tian’s eyes. He knew that even if he killed Gu Junqing, he wouldn’t leave this gambling venue alive. So he might as well perish together with him. He couldn’t bear this humiliation any longer.

A trace of disdain flickered in Gu Junqing’s eyes. His strength was countless times greater than Lin Tian’s current level. His combat power had already broken through a hundred, while Lin Tian’s hadn’t even reached fifty. Lin Tian couldn’t even lay a finger on him.

Seeing this, Lin Qingzhu, who had been numb with despair, suddenly looked shocked. She couldn’t let Gu Junqing die.

Her frail body suddenly surged with strength as she rushed in front of Gu Junqing in an instant, spreading her arms to block the blade meant for him.

She knew taking this strike would surely cost her life, but if it meant Gu Junqing could survive, what did her own sacrifice matter?

Moreover, since it was Lin Tian wielding the blade, she could consider it repayment for his companionship throughout their childhood—after all, he was her own brother.

Lin Tian’s eyes flickered with hesitation at the sight of Lin Qingzhu before him, but it soon twisted into cruelty. Even if she was his biological sister, since she had become that demon Gu Junqing’s maid, she must no longer be pure. In that case, she might as well die with him!

Watching Lin Tian swing the blade toward her without the slightest hesitation, Lin Qingzhu wept inwardly. Her heart felt as if it were being gouged out, pierced by agony. Her own brother truly wanted to kill her.

Tears welled in her eyes as she resigned herself to death.

At the critical moment, just as the blade was about to strike Lin Qingzhu’s neck, Gu Junqing intercepted it with his hand—using the long-lost technique of catching a blade barehanded! (Just a humorous touch, don’t mind it!)

Gu Junqing felt both exasperated and moved.

After all, if Lin Qingzhu hadn’t recklessly jumped in, he wouldn’t have had to resort to such an embarrassing stance. A simple, cool kick to send the attacker flying would have sufficed.

Seeing his strike blocked, Lin Tian twisted the blade, grazing Gu Junqing’s arm, and prepared to strike again.

Snapping back to attention, Gu Junqing promptly kicked Lin Tian away. The surrounding men in black swiftly closed in, encircling Lin Tian. They had been terrified moments earlier—if the young master had been seriously injured, they would all be finished. Fortunately, he had only suffered a minor flesh wound, something they could still remedy.

They swarmed Lin Tian at once. Already reeling from Gu Junqing’s kick, Lin Tian stood no chance against so many and was quickly subdued.

Gu Junqing approached, carrying Lin Qingzhu, whose legs had gone weak from fright. As he was about to order Lin Tian’s disposal, Lin Qingzhu pleaded, “Can you let him go? He’s still my brother. Please, Junqing—because I saved you earlier, I beg you.”

She couldn’t give up on her brother—he was her only family left.

“He’s not your brother. This is the blood relation test report I had done for both of you.”

Gu Junqing handed her a stack of documents.

Lin Qingzhu’s heart sank when she saw the report indicating no familial relation between them. Did this mean she was utterly alone in the world now?

Lin Tian, held firmly with his arms pinned back, had his legs broken by the men in black.

Refusing to believe it, he roared, “He’s lying to you! He’s a demon, a liar!”

Gu Junqing sneered. “Oh? Then what kind of brother does that to his own sister?”

He then produced a phone with recorded footage—videos captured by cameras he had ordered installed in Lin Tian’s room while he was in class.

The footage showed Lin Tian clutching a photo of Lin Qingzhu, his arm frantically moving beneath him as he murmured, “Qingzhu, Qingzhu, your brother is coming.”

Witnessing this, Lin Qingzhu turned deathly pale. The day’s revelations were too much for her to process—she didn’t know how to absorb it all.

The brother she had believed was her own turned out not to be, and he had been… doing that to her photo.

“Ugh.”

Lin Qingzhu retched, feeling how utterly disgusting all of this was.

The onlookers watched Lin Tian’s behavior and thought that appearances could be deceiving—how could someone do such things to his own sister? Although Lin Qingzhu wasn’t actually Lin Tian’s biological sister, Lin Tian clearly didn’t know that. He probably found it exceptionally thrilling precisely because he believed she was his blood-related sister.
