Gu Junqing decided to emulate Ximen Qing by recreating the classic “Darling, it’s time to take your medicine” scene.

Although he wasn’t afraid of Su Chen’s challenge—knowing full well that Su Chen’s current learning abilities were still too underdeveloped to truly challenge him at this stage—the scores would likely be very close. While Su Chen’s learning ability could only be considered advanced at best, with the boost from his Protagonist Halo and the protagonist’s established advantages, the gap might narrow considerably.

Gu Junqing’s score was nearly perfect. Anyone who could come close to his results would easily secure second place. Even Murong Wan’s scores fell somewhat short compared to his.

Therefore, he could not allow Su Chen to show off and gain a wave of attention.

[System, is the diarrhea-inducing croton I drew from the lottery last time really effective against someone of divine doctor caliber?]

After all, his concerns were not unfounded.

[Ding, Host need not worry. Products from the System are guaranteed to be of top quality.]

Gu Junqing narrowed his eyes, already sensing that this chapter would be… memorable.

He then called Li Xixue over, handed her the water containing the croton, and instructed her to make Su Chen drink it.

Li Xixue was curious about what was inside.

“Don’t worry about it. Just make sure to sit as far away from him as possible during the exam,” Gu Junqing said with a smile.

Li Xixue agreed, assuming Gu Junqing was seeking revenge on her behalf, and did not press further.

However, Gu Junqing warned her, “If Su Chen gets suspicious afterward, don’t take the blame yourself. Just say it was me.”

Gu Junqing would never let a girl take the fall for him. If things escalated and Su Chen’s anger flared up, there was no telling what he might do—he could very well harm Li Xixue.

Of course, while Li Xixue was not academically gifted and often played the role of a naive, sweet female lead, she was still clever enough. She certainly would not imitate Jinlian by bluntly saying, “Darling, it’s time to take your medicine.”

That would be far too obvious—practically announcing her intention to harm him. As the saying goes, even a roommate dead for three days would not be that pale.

Li Xixue took the plastic bottle from Gu Junqing, went to the restroom first, and poured out half of its contents.

Then she returned to the classroom, pretended she could not finish her water, and asked Su Chen to throw it away for her.

Based on her understanding of Su Chen, this disgusting guy would inevitably drink from the water she had sipped.

She had discovered this one day: whenever she discarded something she had drunk from, Su Chen would always take a sip from it.

Moreover, whenever she threw anything away, this pervert Su Chen would inevitably pick it up to see what it was. If he fancied it, he might even keep it as a collection.

The first time she found out, Li Xixue was so revolted she could not eat.

Shocked, she threw another tantrum at her family, demanding the engagement be called off. She told her father about Su Chen’s behavior.

But to her surprise, her father merely chuckled and said something she would never forget: “Boys will be boys—they all have their little quirks and interests. It’s normal. I’ll tell him to tone it down next time!”

Her father even stroked his beard with a knowing smile.

The whole thing creeped Li Xixue out so much that her skin crawled.

No wonder he liked Su Chen so much and insisted she marry him—they were birds of a feather.

This left her feeling somewhat hopeless. It seemed that unless Su Chen made a major mistake, her father would never break off the engagement.

So she grew increasingly unrestrained and developed an even stronger dislike for Su Chen.

She had confided all this to Gu Junqing, which was why she believed he was now standing up for her. She was currently in a phase of disliking Su Chen, so she felt no psychological pressure whatsoever about doing anything to him.

Being naturally naive and sweet, and with a good friend like Gu Junqing backing her up, she had all the more reason to act without hesitation.

Li Xixue pretended to drink half the bottle of water, then claimed she could not finish it and asked Su Chen to throw it away for her.

Su Chen was already accustomed to running errands for this young lady. Given her usual behavior, finishing half a bottle of water could already be considered an effort to conserve water.

Without suspecting anything, he picked up the water bottle and left the classroom to dispose of it.

He did not want everyone to see him having such a habit.

After all, she was his fiancée—what was wrong with drinking her water? In the future, he would do even more intimate things with her. A little saliva was nothing.

Su Chen thought gleefully, his whole body tingling with excitement at the thought of getting back at her in bed someday.

“Just throwing something away? No big deal. I’ll repay you properly someday, Li Xixue.”

Lust flickered in Su Chen’s eyes. He had been tormented by this young lady so much lately that he was genuinely afraid of her.

Then, to his own surprise, Su Chen gulped down the remaining water in one go, even feeling somewhat proud of himself.

“Guess water drunk by a beauty really is different—it even tastes a bit sweet.”

Su Chen smacked his lips and licked them.

Little did he know it was the distinct taste of the special croton seeds Gu Junqing had drawn.

“Besides, I just didn’t want to waste water. It has nothing to do with being a pervert.”

After mentally reassuring himself, Su Chen returned to the classroom to prepare for the exam.

Li Xixue peeked furtively from the doorway.

Seeing Su Chen disgustingly finish the half-bottle of water she had tampered with made her want to vomit.

However, since it was not actually water she had drunk herself, Li Xixue quickly composed her expression.

She turned and gave a thumbs-up in Gu Junqing’s direction.

Gu Junqing nodded in acknowledgment.

He then deliberately asked Murong Wan and Luo Ningxue to sit farther away, afraid they might feel nauseous if they caught a whiff of anything unpleasant.

Gu Junqing thought mischievously, wondering whether Su Chen would still be able to act like a normal person after this.

Just then, Su Chen walked into the classroom. Not noticing anything amiss, he returned to his seat.

But for some reason, he felt a vague sense of unease.

As he pondered why, he noticed the teacher had already entered and was distributing the exam papers.

Su Chen decided not to overthink it. He had set his sights on surpassing Gu Junqing’s grades. He could not afford to slack off even a little in this exam.

Even if he still could not outperform Gu Junqing, he believed the gap would be small enough to astonish everyone.

For some reason, Su Chen deeply relished the feeling of humiliating others.

Every time he put someone in their place, he experienced a strange thrill, as if it were his destiny.

After indulging in these proud thoughts, Su Chen focused seriously on the exam questions.

But inexplicably, his stomach began to churn, aching faintly.

Less than half an hour into the exam, he noticed Gu Junqing had already finished and requested to leave early.

Seeing Gu Junqing complete the paper so quickly made Su Chen anxious.

He hurriedly sped up, but the more he concentrated, the more violently his stomach churned.

Su Chen quickly tried to block his meridians, assuming he had eaten something bad.

But to his shock, blocking his meridians had no effect—his stomach continued to roil intensely.

Su Chen’s face turned pale, and cold sweat beaded on his forehead.

He had no choice but to raise his hand. “Teacher, may I go to the restroom?”

The teacher frowned. “I’m sorry, but this exam is too important. If you leave for the restroom, it will be considered voluntarily forfeiting your score for this subject.”

Su Chen could only lower his hand, feeling he could still hold on.

But as he worked through the questions, his pace grew increasingly slower. He sensed a surge of pressure building at the brink.

Finally, a mournful roar erupted within Su Chen’s heart.

“No!”
