My Senior Sisters Are Not Human! - Chapter 145 - Chapter 145
In this world, there’s always a small bunch of people who, for no reason, brim with animosity towards others. Not only do they dislike seeing others happy, but they also want to ruin that happiness.
Mortley Elvi was one of those people.
The Easterner in the class, Su Yuchen, not only had a close relationship with Teacher Yufei but was also quite intimate with a famous senior student from the third year. Not just intimate, but flirting openly in class!
Why should your days be so smooth?
Why can you have a jolly time with beautiful senior girls?
After listening to Su Yuchen and Jiang Shengyue exchange flirtatious banter for an hour, Mortley Elvi couldn’t bear it anymore. With a heavy lean against the back of the chair, causing a loud bump on the desk behind him, he attempted to take advantage.
Anyway, with the current state of the Xuanqing Empire, those two behind him couldn’t do anything about it even if they were displeased.
However, things didn’t go as planned. Su Yuchen, unaccustomed to such behavior, directly threw a national curse at him.
Mortley almost thought he had misheard, so his face instantly darkened as he stared coldly at Su Yuchen. “Say that again?”
“I was going to curse you again…” Su Yuchen leaned back in his chair, speaking even more crudely: “But after seeing your pig face, I don’t want to curse anymore. Looking like that, who knows how terrifying your mother must be.”
After speaking, Su Yuchen smiled and directly gave him the middle finger… One hand wasn’t enough, so he raised the other hand with the same gesture.
Damn, encountering such an idiot in college, but…
Glancing at Jiang Shengyue, whose bright eyes were fixed on him without blinking, Su Yuchen thought maybe this idiot had some use, helping him boost his favorability.
“Fuck you…” Mortley, burning with anger, was about to erupt into a string of curses. Cole Raphael, his desk mate, quickly grabbed his wrist. “Don’t talk nonsense. It’s almost the end of class; why rush? He can’t run away.”
Suppressing his angry breaths, Mortley turned away. The noise from deliberately bumping the desk and chair made the teacher on the podium frown again, continuing the lecture while coldly glancing at Motley.
Yae Mitsuha looked back and stared at Mortley, jabbing her gel pen on the notebook several times.
“Most of the time, I am a very easy-going person.” Su Yuchen said seriously to Jiang Shengyue.
“It’s okay,” Jiang Shengyue took the pen from his hand, twirling it as she spoke: “I li… think you’re fine no matter what.”
Almost slipping up, Jiang Shengyue blushed slightly. Then she heard Su Yuchen sigh: “I’m doomed, I’ll be dragged into the bathroom and beaten up after class.”
“Senior sister’s got your back,” Jiang Shengyue lightly flicked her thumb, the pen rotated and twirled between her fingers, quite dashing.
Then Su Yuchen saw the pen flipping and turning between her fingertips like a rotor.
“Cool, right?” Jiang Shengyue smiled playfully at him.
“Cool,” Su Yuchen responded. “What were you going to ask me just now?”
“Oh.” Jiang Shengyue stopped spinning the pen. “Not urgent; let’s talk about it at lunch.”
Su Yuchen nodded. They were just a step away from having the title of being a couple. The key now was how to maintain this relationship.
As the bell for the end of class rang, the teacher left the room without a word. Mortley, who wanted to take action, was held back by Cole. After all, they were still in the classroom, and Yae Mitsuha, the class president, would surely intervene.
Dragging Mortley out of the classroom, Cole didn’t look back, heading towards the third-floor classroom for the last lesson.
Su Yuchen put away his textbook, pocketed his phone, and looked at Jiang Shengyue who had already stood up. As they walked, he said, “Sister Yue, you go ahead and save a seat in 303. I need to use the restroom.”
“Okay.” Jiang Shengyue reached out her hand. “Give me the textbook.”
Su Yuchen handed her the textbook and leisurely made his way to the third floor.
Entering the bathroom on the third floor, after Su Yuchen finished using the toilet, the bathroom door was closed with a “click.”
Without any extra words, Mortley, almost two meters tall, swiftly approached and kicked Su Yuchen in the side of his waist without holding back.
Su Yuchen looked down at the urinal, then grabbed Mortley’s ankle and forcefully pulled it towards himself. As Mortley’s eyes widened in surprise, Su Yuchen released the ankle, stepped back, and grabbed the back of his collar, shoving his face into the urinal.
Quickly retracting his hand, the gushing water mixed with other liquids splashed all over Mortley’s face.
Seeing Mortley trying to get up, Su Yuchen stepped on his lower back, watching as his hands frantically slapped the wall, his head shaking. Only after the water finished flushing did Su Yuchen leisurely remove his foot.
“Tasty?” Su Yuchen asked, turning to Cole Raphael, who was standing at the door, preventing any escape attempts. “Want some?”
Mortley roared angrily but was knocked down by Su Yuchen’s leg sweep before he could get up.
Watching Su Yuchen effortlessly handle Mortley, who was taller and stronger, Cole’s eyes widened. Was the supposed softie actually Superman in disguise?
Kicking Mortley aside, Su Yuchen walked towards the door, while Cole hesitated for a second, then silently stepped aside, clearing the way.
Click! Hearing the door close again, Cole looked at Mortley, who was holding his side, his face wet and expression twisted: “Why did you have to cause trouble for no reason? Bit off more than you could chew, huh?”
“Why the fuck didn’t you help me?”
“Good thing I didn’t, or I’d be in the same state as you,” Cole retorted, using water-based magic to clean him. “Although the Xuanqing Empire is in a mess, there are still experts around.”
“That’s not what you said earlier,” Mortley glared at him angrily. “What do we do now?”
“Pretend,” Cole said calmly. “Just act like you won when we go out. If enough rumors spread, it’ll become the truth anyway.”
“You’re still a damn schemer.”
······
Having washed his hands, Su Yuchen disregarded the inquiring gazes of others and walked towards the last row occupied by Jiang Shengyue.
Jiang Shengyue pulled out tissues from her pocket and handed them to him, asking knowingly, “Toilet break taking so long?”
“The flies were annoying,” Su Yuchen wiped the water droplets from his hands and sat down with a sigh. “I wanted to skip class, but this teacher likes to take attendance.”
“Study hard, why skip class?” Jiang Songyue rolled her eyes at him. If it weren’t for the career planning lecture on her side today, she wouldn’t have had the chance to attend class with him.
Su Yuchen pondered for a moment. “Didn’t you say studying wasn’t necessary before?”
“Mastering another foreign language gives you one more option,” Jiang Songyue said seriously.
“I guess you’re always right then.”
“It’s called being flexible based on the situation,” Jiang Shengyue smiled. Sitting on the inside, she glanced out the window, then turned back to see Su Yuchen lowering his head to play with his phone. “What are you looking at?”
“Just random stuff.” Su Yuchen scrolled through short videos, occasionally checking news. The recent news was about the forbidden disaster and various countries’ fleets.
But due to the operations of the Sky City officials, the fleets that were planning to support and station there began to leave.
There was another interesting news that the Sun and Moon Emperor suddenly fell ill.
Su Yuchen chuckled, already knowing it was due to the Lost Formation. After fifty years of effort, everything was lost overnight… not even a drop of soup left!
Jiang Shengyue, resting her head on the desk, didn’t disturb him this time, quietly observing his varying expressions while playing with the phone, feeling the impulse to capture those moments.
Then suddenly, she straightened up.
‘My thoughts are too weird. He’s not a child who needs to be recorded, why take photos?’
Confused, Su Yuchen glanced at Jiang Shengyue, noticing she seemed preoccupied, and went back to focusing on his phone.
Jiang Songyue rested her chin on her hand and looked out the window. Was it because she had always taken care of her sister that she had these kinds of thoughts about him, who was younger?
‘Aren’t boys usually quite independent? Would he like a girl who always takes care of him? Would it annoy him?’
As Jiang Shengyue pondered, the class hour quickly passed by.
After sorting out her thoughts, Jiang Shengyue excitedly pulled Su Yuchen and walked out, already impatient to let him taste today’s lunch.
“Take it slow,” Su Yuchen said, looking at her flowing hair.
“Big guys don’t need to fuss. Hurry up,” Jiang Shengyue replied without turning her head, pulling him swiftly to Hidden Heart Lake.
At half-past noon, the lakeside of Hidden Heart Lake remained deserted. It was quite far from the dorms and shops, making it an uncommon spot unless someone was particularly bored.
Jiang Shengyue, smoothing her skirt, sat on the grass and started unpacking the lunch from the storage card. Su Yuchen, on the other hand, found himself looking at her bare legs.
She wasn’t wearing stockings or socks, just ankle-length white cotton socks. Her legs were fair, flawless, without a single blemish. The proportions between her thighs and calves were perfect, the curves showcased beautifully due to the bent knees.
Due to prolonged sitting, the imprints on the back of her thighs were particularly prominent. While they weren’t fully visible from the side, they had an inexplicable allure.
“Crab roe tofu, braised pork, stir-fried bean sprouts and leek vermicelli, and simmered pork rib soup.”
Jiang Shengyue sequentially opened the exquisite boxes, showing off to Su Yuchen, “Looks, aroma, and taste, all covered, right?”
Su Yuchen swallowed, “I’ve seen the color and smelled the aroma, but I need to taste it to be sure.”
“Here, try this.” Jiang Shengyue handed over chopsticks, “No leftovers allowed.”
“Then I must finish it,” Su Yuchen said, picking up a piece of braised pork and putting it in his mouth, causing Jiang Shengyue to smile radiantly.
Su Yuchen exhaled, “Delicious, I love this soft and tender texture.”
“Great.” Jiang Shengyue pointed at the crab roe tofu, “Now try this!”
Su Yuchen scooped a spoonful of the crab roe tofu soup containing tofu, ham, and salted egg yolk, coupled with a mouthful of rice—a delightful ensemble.
“Delicious.” Su Yuchen’s eyes brightened, scooping another spoonful into his mouth. “Goes perfectly with rice.”
“That’s good.” Jiang Shengyue responded casually, “Just home-cooked dishes. As long as you like it.”
“I love home-cooked dishes.” Su Yuchen picked up a bean sprout, savoring the crunchy sound in his mouth. “Fancy dishes aren’t always tasty.”
Observing Su Yuchen eating, Jiang Shengyue nonchalantly opened her own lunchbox and casually asked, “Can your childhood friend cook?”
“Yes.”
“Tasty?” Jiang Shengyue inquired. Although she hadn’t met his childhood friend and wasn’t aware of their current relationship, she felt wary about his childhood friend.
Hmm, intuition!
“Compared to these three dishes, Sister Yue, yours are better,” Su Yuchen said calmly.
Jiang Shengyue smiled. “Then try these three.”
“Egg pancakes, braised chicken wings, shrimp stir-fried with broccoli.” Jiang Shengyue placed the three lunchboxes in front of him. “Just think of it as eating stir-fried dishes at a restaurant.”
“You should eat too,” Su Yuchen said, trying all six dishes. He had already formed an opinion. In terms of cooking skills, Xia Yushuang and Jiang Shengyue were on par, but their personal flavors were different.
All of them were flavors he enjoyed.
“How is it?” Jiang Shengyue asked, smiling softly.
Su Yuchen knew she was asking how her cooking compared to his childhood friend’s, but he pretended not to understand and nodded. “Delicious!”
Jiang Shengyue smiled and said nothing further, picking up her chopsticks.
“Sister Yue, earlier in class, were you asking about my magic?” Su Yuchen asked after swallowing another piece of braised pork.
At his words, Jiang Shengyue looked at him. “Could you show me your magic?”
The first time she sensed his magic, it felt like a surreal sensation of time and space. Later, when he channeled magic into her at Qiuming Mountain, although she didn’t feel much then, she realized afterward that the quality of his magic was remarkably high and met her needs.
“Sure.” Though puzzled, Su Yuchen extended his hand and released a cluster of fire-based magic from his fingertips.
The crimson magic slightly tinted Jiang Shengyue’s cheeks. She leaned in, studying the phenomenon with a serious expression as if exploring something novel.
“Is there something wrong with my magic?” Su Yuchen asked while eating.
“Junior, your magic power… is very special.”
???
Hearing Jiang Shengyue’s voice, Su Yuchen’s hand with the chopsticks paused. This sounded strangely familiar.
Kristia said it, Sylvia said it, and now Jiang Shengyue was saying something similar. But one was about blood, one about taste, and now another about magic?
Su Yuchen resumed chewing. If that’s the case, what is Xia Yushuang ‘curious’ about?
“What’s special about my magic?” Su Yuchen asked curiously.
“Well…” Jiang Shengyue pondered before speaking, “It feels like it’s not in the same dimension as the world’s elements.”
“What do you mean?” Su Yuchen gazed at her.
“I’m not entirely sure, I’ll need to check…”
Jiang Shengyue raised her head and looked at Su Yuchen, who immediately looked away: “Maybe you felt it wrong, how could it not be in the same dimension?”
“Don’t know.” Jiang Shengyue chuckled. “Only your magic gives me that feeling.”
“Such words easily make me think too much.”
Su Yuchen teased her while stealing a glance. He could feel that Jiang Shengyue, not being a native of this world, might hold some secrets.
The senior sisters he knew were all a bit weird.
“Think as much as you want.” Jiang Shengyue handed him an egg pancake. “I won’t mind.”
“Quick, eat up, then take a nap.”
