My Senior Sisters Are Not Human! - Chapter 166 - Chapter 166
Bai Raorao, a student in the 97th grade of the Medical Magic Department, couldn’t concentrate on her book today.
The book nestled against her bent knees hadn’t been turned for a while. Her toes, outlined by her white silk stockings, curled tightly toward her arches, as if she felt a chill.
Her sapphire blue eyes stared blankly at the pages, clearly lost in thought.
“Senior Bai?”
“Bai Raorao?”
“Tsk.” Su Yuchen watched Bai Raorao, who hadn’t turned a page for ages. She was clearly not focused on reading, yet she couldn’t hear him calling her.
“Raorao,” Su Yuchen called out as he crouched down.
Her body twitched slightly, her eyes regained their luster, and she turned to look at him. In the same gentle tone as always, “Yuchen…”
Just as she finished saying his name, her cheeks visibly reddened at an incredible speed. Embarrassed, she lowered her head, her pure white hair strands slightly covering her flushed cheeks.
Su Yuchen instinctively touched his own face. “Is there something on my face?”
“N-No… nothing…” Bai Raorao quickly glanced at Su Yuchen, her eyes filled with shyness, leaving a lasting impression.
Seeing Bai Raorao’s slightly hurried breathing and her fingers gripping the book pages tightly, her two silk-clad feet seemed to have nowhere to go.
“If there’s nothing wrong… then why are you so nervous today?” Su Yuchen simply sat down on the floor, crossing his legs. “I don’t think I did anything to you, did I?”
“N-no… you didn’t…” Bai Raorao’s voice grew weaker, her gaze drifting around. It was clear she wasn’t good at lying.
Curious, Su Yuchen probed, “Did I really do something?”
“…”
Bai Raorao kept silent with her head down. Su Yuchen pondered; he hadn’t been there yesterday, and he hadn’t told anyone about her… was there some kind of rumor?
He leaned in slightly and asked for the third time, “Come on, tell me. Your attitude is making me really curious. It’s not good to just brush it off, right?”
Confronted with Su Yuchen’s persistent attitude, Bai Raorao’s head lowered even more, almost burying it in the book resting on her thighs.
The autumn sunset painted the sky a light crimson, like an endless veil. Through the window, it cast a rosy glow on her pure white hair and partially obscured her innocent face.
She turned slightly, stealing glances at Su Yuchen’s chest, not daring to look directly into his eyes.
What had happened… How could she possibly say it out loud?
Bai Raorao unconsciously tightened her legs, the soft touch of her white stockings producing a slight rustling sound. Her soft voice followed, “N-Nothing… really.”
“Is that so?” Su Yuchen stared at her. There hadn’t been such a reaction before… and now she says it’s nothing?
He thought for a moment and, like a crab, shuffled a step to the side, moving from her side to sit directly in front of her knees. He was about to speak when he met her panic-stricken and shy, watery peach-blossom eyes. He couldn’t help but change his mind, “If you don’t want to say it, then forget about it.”
As he finished speaking, feeling his words were a bit off, Su Yuchen was about to apologize when he saw Bai Raorao, who had lowered her head, raising it again, her beautiful eyes fixed on his.
Angry?
Avoiding her gaze, Su Yuchen changed his words, “I mean…”
“S-sorry… It’s not that I don’t want to say…”
“Why are you apologizing?” Su Yuchen turned his gaze back to her. “You didn’t do anything wrong. I’m the one who should apologize.”
Bai Raorao’s voice became a little urgent, “You don’t need to apologize, it’s just…”
Seeing her at a loss for words again, Su Yuchen felt a spark of understanding. Does she think I was being sarcastic? Is her thought process this strange?
He sighed with a helpless smile and reached out to pat her head. “When you say something wrong, you should apologize. I was too abrupt just now, I shouldn’t have pried into your personal matters. I’m sorry.”
While speaking, Su Yuchen also ruffled Bai Raorao’s head. The sensation of her white hair felt great, somewhat addicting in an odd way.
Bai Raorao, who had wanted to say something, unconsciously leaned forward, then, as if feeling uncomfortable, straightened herself again, kneeling in front of Su Yuchen. Her book was now pressed against her thighs, and the delicate curves of her feet arched gracefully, her ten toes playfully flexing and curling.
Her azure eyes narrowed into charming crescent shapes, and Bai Raorao’s body began to move rhythmically. At this moment, Su Yuchen’s gaze was entirely focused on her long hair.
‘Not good, the feel of her hair is too good, a bit addicting.’
Su Yuchen couldn’t help but raise his other hand and put it on Bai Raorao’s head. He instinctively lowered his head to look at her expression… and then he saw her looking adorably fierce.
Her school jacket was unbuttoned, and the deep blue shirt underneath fit her body perfectly. The bow tie at the collar bounced with her movements.
Su Yuchen, indulging in the sensation of touching her hair, suddenly snapped out of it, retracting his left hand. Bai Raorao, feeling the absence of his hand, opened her eyes slightly, her voice tinged with a bit of playful anticipation, “Keep going…”
Her voice trailed off as she noticed Su Yuchen’s somewhat stunned expression. Panicking, she hurriedly stood up, “I-I-I…”
“The book…”
Su Yuchen quickly spoke, but Bai Raorao’s head had already collided with a stack of books on the windowsill, immediately causing them to fall apart.
“Ow…”
As if startled like a small cat, Bai Raorao quickly crouched on the floor, hands covering her head. Su Yuchen had already stood up and caught the falling books… feeling a bit strange.
Before, this sort of ‘misfortune’ had been his exclusive package…
“Are you okay?” Su Yuchen glanced down at Bai Raorao and placed the books back on the windowsill. “When you put books on the windowsill, try pushing them further in so they won’t fall.”
Bai Raorao looked up at him, her gaze a bit trance-like. “Th-Thank…”
She stood up but slipped, stumbling right into Su Yuchen’s arms. While nervously apologizing, she showed no intention of moving away, “Dizzy…”
She looked up at Su Yuchen, her peach blossom eyes exuding a slightly dreamy light. Su Yuchen frowned slightly, and then… she just fainted right in his arms?
Was she really fainting or just falling asleep? It was hard to tell, but she had indeed lost consciousness while leaning against him. He couldn’t just leave her here and go home, right?
He had only come over to return a newspaper and check on her… Luckily, Xia Yushuang and her friend Zhao Yibai had plans to go shopping in the city tonight. He didn’t need to rush home.
“Aren’t you supposed to be studying medicine? How could you just faint like this?”
Su Yuchen held Bai Raorao by the arms and gently shook her, “Raorao? Wake up.”
Bai Raorao, as if boneless, swayed lightly with the motion of his arms, her head limp against his chest.
“Really fainted?”
Su Yuchen looked at the sophomore senior in his arms with surprise. Could she have some hidden illness?
As he thought this, he sat directly on the floor, letting Bai Raorao rest her head on his lap. He took one of her hands to check, but her magical energy was steady, showing no signs of illness.
Looking down, he saw Bai Raorao shift to her side and curl up; so she just fell asleep?
“Raorao?” Su Yuchen raised his voice.
Still, there was no response.
Su Yuchen looked at the books scattered on the floor. He had a guess in mind. She probably stayed up all night, and when she suddenly stood up, her brain didn’t get enough blood supply, causing her to faint…
Gazing at Bai Raorao, Su Yuchen leaned back against the wall beneath the windowsill. Though it seemed unlikely, it wasn’t impossible. After all, he had been drained by Sylvia all night and was exhausted the next day. And Bai Raorao, who had been studying complex medical knowledge all night, might have reached her limit too.
Su Yuchen glanced at Bai Raorao’s profile, partially covered by her hair. Even in sleep, her gentle and graceful aura didn’t diminish at all. And… her sideways position seemed rather fierce.
Judging by this scale, it seemed she might even surpass Kristia…
Despite her gentle and pure temperament, she had an incredibly hot figure.
At Sky University, female students seemed to favor the school uniform more than male students did. The dark-colored shirts meant they could wear underwear of any color without worrying about it showing through a white shirt.
Straightening his posture, Su Yuchen took off his jacket and draped it over her. Having a senior, who was so adorably fierce, use his lap as a pillow on a late night made it hard to keep his feelings in check.
“She probably won’t wake up until the next day…”
…
“I’m stuffed, I’m stuffed!”
Exiting the grilled fish shop on Sky City’s commercial street, Zhao Yibai patted her stomach. “Thanks to my sister Yushuang treating me~”
Saying this, she threw her arm around Xia Yushuang, who glanced at her and said, “I should head back now.”
“But it’s only seven-thirty.”
“I need to prepare dinner…”
“No way!” Zhao Yibai suddenly perked up. “Yushuang, you can’t keep doing this. Do you know what your behavior of making breakfast and dinner for him every day amounts to?”
Xia Yushuang thought for a moment and then hesitantly said, “A simp?”
Cough, cough, cough! Zhao Yibai choked and coughed violently, looking at Xia Yushuang in disbelief. “What are you thinking? How could you be a simp? You’ve got looks, you’ve got a great figure, you’re good at housework, and you have a great personality… You’re clearly a goddess!”
“No, wait…” Zhao Yibai calmed herself down. “To most guys, you really are a goddess. But to that Su Yuchen, you’re not! Why belittle yourself like that?”
“What do you mean?”
“What you’re doing right now is basically what his mom would do!” Zhao Yibai said with absolute certainty. “Waking him up, making breakfast and dinner, washing clothes and bedsheets, cleaning the house… I bet you spoil him more than his own mom!”
“To be honest, don’t you get tired of pampering him?” Zhao Yibai earnestly looked at Xia Yushuang’s expression. “He’s an adult, right? He doesn’t do anything at home. Don’t you find him useless?”
“No.” Xia Yushuang replied without hesitation. “Why would I think that?”
Zhao Yibai opened her mouth, “Has he given you some love potion that’s making you so head over heels? Your perspective on love is too twisted… What if he cheats on you one day? Wouldn’t you be devastated enough to… to…”
“No.” Xia Yushuang thought of Kristia and Jiang Shengyue. “He wouldn’t do that.”
“You’re so sure…” Zhao Yibai shut her mouth, looking at Xia Yushuang’s matter-of-fact, calm expression. She felt that her own mentality was exploding.
“Yushuang!” She looked at Xia Yushuang seriously: “Don’t go back tonight. Let’s go to a hotel, you and me.”
Xia Yushuang shook her head, refusing outright, but Zhao Yibai grabbed her hand: “I can make your relationship with Su Yuchen advance like a charging pig…”
“Charging pig?” Xia Yushuang frowned. “Don’t you mean ‘advance by leaps and bounds’?”
“I mean charging pig, to make him charge into you like a pig.” Zhao Yibai looked at Xia Yushuang’s blushing cheeks and sighed heavily in her heart. Even though they were already living together, she could still blush and get shy… Yushuang, just how weak are you?
“Tonight, I’ll teach you quick and accurate methods to win him over, so don’t go back!” Zhao Yibai pulled Xia Yushuang along as she walked. “What’s the big deal about not going back for one night? It’s better to use that time to improve yourself, don’t you think?”
Xia Yushuang followed Zhao Yibai’s lead passively and asked, “Will it really work?”
“It’s tailor-made for childhood sweethearts, no doubt about it!” Zhao Yibai replied with absolute confidence.
“Have you been in a relationship with your childhood friend?”
“Of course… not!” Zhao Yibai muttered softly, “I’ve never even been in a relationship.”
“But trust me!” Zhao Yibai raised her voice. “I’ll definitely help you win over your childhood sweetheart!”
“Walk slower, let me inform him,” Xia Yushuang said, taking out her phone.
“What’s the rush? Tell him when we get to the hotel.” Zhao Yibai said, “You’re so worried about this and that; he’ll start seeing you more and more like a mother…”
Xia Yushuang thought there was nothing wrong with that. Which kid could do without a loving mom?
But obviously, if she said that, she’d be dissed by Zhao Yibai again, so she wisely didn’t say more.
“This hotel will do.”
With a swift motion, Zhao Yibai booked a room with a large bed. Leading Xia Yushuang into the room, she skillfully inspected every corner to make sure there were no hidden cameras. Then she turned to look at Xia Yushuang, who was clearly taking photos to report back to Su Yuchen.
Zhao Yibai was speechless… What’s so great about that Su Yuchen that you can’t let go of him?
…
Su Yuchen took out his phone and as soon as he unlocked the screen, he saw the message Xia Yushuang had just sent.
[Yushuang]: I won’t be coming back tonight. I’m staying out with Zhao Yibai.
Following the text were several photos of a hotel room and, of course, Zhao Yibai, her senior.
It’s not like I don’t trust you, Su Yuchen thought with a smile. He replied with a simple, “Got it.”
Although he wasn’t sure why Xia Yushuang suddenly decided to go out with her old roommate from freshman year, it was fine for her not to come back tonight.
After chatting with Xia Yushuang for a bit, she ended the conversation first because the “Zhao Yibai lecture” was about to begin.
Su Yuchen smiled. He wondered what big plan Xia Yushuang was hatching with her friends… a competition project, perhaps?
Putting away his phone, he glanced at Bai Raorao, who was curled up, and suddenly felt like this senior really resembled a cat.
