In the quiet of the night, most of the lights on the ninth floor of the library were out. After all, this floor mainly housed old records and documents, rarely visited except by those needing materials for their theses.

Bai Raorao’s small desk lamp turned on at its scheduled time, casting a glow over her pale face as she lay on Su Yuchen’s lap. In the bright light, she opened her eyes, pretending to be groggy. She shifted slightly and saw Su Yuchen leaning against the wall, his head tilted to one side, sound asleep.

Breathing a sigh of relief, a gentle smile of ‘mission accomplished’ curved on Bai Raorao’s lips. Thankfully, Su Yuchen fell asleep early; otherwise, she’d have had to wait much longer.

Yes, her recent ‘fainting’ was merely a brave attempt at ‘feigned sleep’ because tonight, she truly couldn’t resist anymore.

She couldn’t resist the urge to snuggle up in his arms and sleep.

Soundlessly, she sat up, extended her finger, and lightly touched Su Yuchen’s forehead. A pure white glow emanated, and she was confident that in his unguarded state, he wouldn’t notice her spell.

Moreover, her magic wasn’t an attack, defense, or assistance type.

Bai Raorao climbed slowly to the end of Su Yuchen’s outstretched legs. Gently, she removed his shoes and placed them aside. She then crossed his legs.

Admiring her handiwork, Bai Raorao happily scooted closer, lying on her side and resting her head on Su Yuchen’s chest.

Her supple limbs stretched out instinctively upon contact with the embrace she had longed for. Her toes, wrapped in white stockings, playfully wiggled. Her half-closed sapphire-blue eyes glowed with a soft gentleness, and a small red mole between her brows added a hint of allure, contrasting with her otherwise gentle demeanor.

Ding-a-ling~

The bell on her left ankle rang softly, and Bai Raorao let out a satisfied “Mmm” from her slightly parted lips. Her body, curled up to the maximum, showcased her remarkable flexibility. Amidst the shimmering magical light, a pair of pure white, furry ears appeared between her white strands of hair, twitching cutely.

At the base of her tailbone, also hidden under the school uniform, a fluffy white tail wriggled free from the shirt tucked into her skirt. Under the light of the desk lamp, it swayed back and forth, occasionally brushing playfully against Su Yuchen’s nose. Watching him wrinkle his nose just like before, Bai Raorao felt enveloped in an indescribable sense of happiness.

“Yuchen~ Yuchen~ Yuchen~”

Bai Raorao happily nuzzled her little head against his chest, looking up at Su Yuchen with eyes brimming with undisguised tenderness.

Seeing his sleeping face, she raised her right hand and poked his forehead, the tip of his nose, his cheeks, his lips, and his chin. Her pale cheeks flushed red with the heat of her small actions, especially when she nervously intertwined her right hand with his, feeling as though an electric current was flowing from her palm.

“I recognized Yuchen right away, but Yuchen still hasn’t recognized Raorao… Even though it was you who gave Raorao her name~”

Lying on her side, Bai Raorao pulled Su Yuchen’s school jacket over herself. Her fluffy tail, hidden beneath the jacket, rubbed back and forth, savoring Yuchen’s scent.

After holding hands for a long while, Bai Raorao released Su Yuchen’s hand, gently grasped his wrist, and guided his warm hand to stroke her head. The tail wagged even more joyfully.

“Hee~” Bai Raorao squinted her eyes in contentment. Unable to resist, she rolled over, took his other hand, and placed it on her stomach. Feeling the warmth through her shirt, she sat up with a hint of dissatisfaction. She then untucked the hem of her dark blue shirt from her skirt.

She unbuttoned the bottom three buttons of her shirt, lay back down, and gently placed Su Yuchen’s hand on her soft, bare belly.

“Humph~”

Finally feeling perfect, Bai Raorao glanced at the still-sleeping Su Yuchen, her gentle peach blossom eyes still brimming with tenderness.

“Yuchen has no idea~”

With both hands covering Su Yuchen’s on her stomach, Bai Raorao’s heart pounded uncontrollably just from the memory and the present moment of being so close to him.

Su Yuchen might not know, but Bai Raorao was acutely aware that her affection for him was already inscribed in every movement of her body, etched in every bit of force hugging him.

Only being called “Raorao” would draw out her response. Every time they made eye contact, she couldn’t help but feel bashful. Her steps always quickened with joy at the thought of seeing him… Bai Raorao blinked her enchanting eyes softly and whispered, “Good night~ Meow~”

…

The alley was dimly lit, littered with debris and filth, and in the midst of this desolation, Su Yuchen glanced around in slight confusion… it all seemed somewhat familiar.

“A dream?”

After confirming that this wasn’t reality, Su Yuchen’s first thought was that this might be another one of Sylvia’s spontaneous, whimsical role-plays—a dim alleyway, Sylvia with her hands pressed against the wall, while he stood behind… no, no, no.

He shook his head quickly. This didn’t quite fit Silvia’s style. After all, there wasn’t a single person outside the alley. Sylvia wouldn’t set up a scene in a deserted alley where no one could walk by.

Although, as a succubus, she did have a lot of tricks up her sleeve…

Su Yuchen stood still for a moment, waiting, but nothing resembling Sylvia’s fantasies appeared in the alley. He let out a slow breath, feeling relieved.

It must just be a simple dream. After all, this place seemed somewhat familiar—probably somewhere he had been before, dreaming while napping in the library…

Not sensing any artificial traces in the dream, Su Yuchen was about to turn and walk out of the alley when suddenly, lights started appearing deep within the alley. Several dozen men in black rushed urgently towards him from within the dark alley. Su Yuchen could see their magic but couldn’t hear a single sound they made.

“When was the last time I dreamt of fighting and killing?”

As Su Yuchen silently pondered, he prepared himself and then—

He threw a punch.

His body stumbled forward, lacking the sensation of hitting anything solid. Stunned, Su Yuchen watched as these men rushed past him as if he didn’t exist, exiting the alley and scattering in different directions as though searching for something.

Clicking his tongue, Su Yuchen thought the surroundings felt somewhat familiar, but he had no recollection of these people.

“What kind of dream is this…?”

He started walking deeper into the alley, only taking a few steps when—

“Meow~”

The sudden meow made Su Yuchen pause, turning to see a cat leap out from between scattered garbage bins.

A completely snow-white cat with a red apple in its mouth.

The white cat, pristine and clean, seemed out of place as it walked through the garbage and headed deeper into the alley. Without hesitation, Su Yuchen followed it; after all, this cat’s meow was the only sound he could hear in this strange dream.

The alley twisted and turned. Su Yuchen cautiously followed the white cat, surveying the surroundings. It indeed felt slightly familiar, and as he ventured further, that familiarity grew stronger.

Then, he saw the white cat stop in front of a dilapidated door but didn’t immediately enter. Instead, it turned back to glance at Su Yuchen. He felt a chill because it seemed like the cat was looking at him.

It can see me?

Thinking this, Su Yuchen held his breath. Fortunately, the white cat only stared for a few seconds before disappearing through the crack in the door.

After hesitating for a few seconds, Su Yuchen approached, attempting to peek through the crack. However—

As soon as he looked inside, a blinding light forced him to shut his eyes. Amidst a sensation of spinning, he heard a melodious meow and felt something furry brush against his nose…

It was like a shooting star streaking across the sky; with a soft ‘whoosh,’ all the light vanished from his vision, and the dream ended.

Su Yuchen’s eyelids fluttered. Slowly opening his eyes, the first thing he saw was Bai Raorao, sound asleep, her head resting on his crossed legs.

He blinked in surprise, and the memories of last night began to resurface. But… when did he cross his legs like that? And how did Bai Raorao end up in this position?

A few rays of light filtered in through the window as dawn broke, painting the eastern sky with pale shades. As Su Yuchen carefully slid his hands under Bai Raorao’s head and straightened his numb legs, he exhaled deeply, preparing to stand up and stretch—

Bai Raorao, still curled up, rolled over onto her back on the floor. Her deep blue eyes, after a brief moment of grogginess, locked onto Su Yuchen’s gaze.

With a swish, Bai Raorao sat up. In an instant, she turned around and knelt in front of Su Yuchen, her eyes filled with a mix of tenderness and shyness. “W-when did you wake up?”

“Just now,” Su Yuchen replied, using the windowsill for support as he stood, shaking his legs to ease the numbness. Bai Raorao immediately scooted closer, placing her hands on his calves to massage them. Glancing up at him, she said softly, “Let me help you.”

“Uh… I can manage on my own.” Su Yuchen attempted to step back, but he couldn’t free himself from Bai Raorao’s hands. Watching her seriously massaging his legs, he sighed, “You really don’t have to do this…”

He mumbled quietly, “Even Yuxi has never been this proactive.”

Ignoring Su Yuchen’s murmurs, Bai Raorao continued diligently massaging his legs until they felt normal again. Once she was finished, she looked up at him and asked, “Does it still feel numb?”

“Not anymore.”

With that, Su Yuchen plopped down onto the floor. Being looked up to by the genius senior majoring in second-year medical magic made him feel a bit awkward.

While sitting on the floor, Su Yuchen noticed that the bottom three buttons of Bai Raorao’s shirt were undone, revealing a glimpse of her flat, smooth abdomen and fair skin. He could also see the white edge of her stockings peeking out above her skirt.

Did I undo these buttons last night?

His expression shifted slightly, and he noticed Bai Raorao looking at him with concern. “Is something wrong?”

Su Yuchen met her gaze, noting her natural, gentle demeanor. He thought it unlikely that he had undone the buttons; if that had been the case, she wouldn’t be so calm now, given how shy she had been the night before.

“It’s nothing.” Su Yuchen said as he checked his phone, noting that it was already 7:10. He swallowed; he hadn’t finished his meal last night and hadn’t drunk much water, so he was a bit hungry and thirsty.

“I’m just a little hungry. Do you want to have breakfast?” Su Yuchen invited.

Bai Raorao hesitated before shaking her head. “I’m not hungry.”

“Alright then.” Su Yuchen didn’t press further and stood up. “I’ll head to the cafeteria.”

Bai Raorao softly murmured, “Hmm,” and as Su Yuchen passed by her, she hesitated and said, “Wait.”

Su Yuchen turned to look, “Is there something else?”

Then, he noticed Bai Raorao shyly offering a red apple to him, blushing a bit as she raised it.

“An apple, for you.” Bai Raorao said softly, her cute face resembling the red apple in her hand.

Su Yuchen was momentarily surprised. “For me?”

“Yes.” Bai Raorao looked at him with her tender peach blossom eyes, a hint of expectation in her deep blue gaze.

After hesitating for a moment, Su Yuchen reached out to take the red apple. “Thank you, senior sister.”

“It’s ‘Raorao’.”

“…Raorao, do you like apples?” Su Yuchen asked, running his fingers over the apple’s surface.

“Mm…” Bai Raorao’s eyes lowered slightly. “I like them the most.”

“Then why are you giving this one to me?” Su Yuchen asked curiously.

“Mm.” Bai Raorao glanced at him shyly, her unintentional allure making Su Yuchen’s heart race. “Actually, I also really like apples.”

“Okay.” Bai Raorao’s head was lowered, her hands resting on the open buttons of her shirt, her fingers idly playing with the hem. “That’s good.”

After leaving the library, Su Yuchen hurriedly buttoned up his shirt. The early autumn morning was growing colder.

Holding the red apple, Su Yuchen thought about the dream he had last night, which also featured a red apple. It felt as if it was foreshadowing something that might happen in reality.

But is that possible? Can dreams predict the future? And the familiarity of the dream clearly seemed to be about the past…

Su Yuchen felt that if he could walk through that door, he might get the answers he wanted.

He put the apple away and, after having breakfast at the cafeteria, headed straight for the teaching building. He could avoid encountering Sylvia at the school gate this morning.

At that moment, Sylvia was stationed at the school gate, observing the time tick away. It was already 7:50… She had met with Yuchen’s childhood friend but had not seen Yuchen himself.

Is he planning to skip classes today?

Sylvia’s expression remained unchanged as she walked into the school. If he did skip class, she would have another opportunity to call him to her office for a proper “lesson.”
