The word “苍” (cāng) means “blue-green.”

The so-called Canglong, or Azure Dragon, is actually the Eastern Azure Dragon, a totem of the Xia dynasty.

On the home planet, the Erlitou turquoise dragon was crafted based on the constellation of the Azure Dragon, a symbol of nobility. Xia Guixuan’s association with the Azure Dragon stems from this, as he hails from the Xia dynasty.

This does not mean that he himself is the Azure Dragon, nor does it mean that there is only one Azure Dragon in existence; in fact, there are many Azure Dragons throughout the myriad worlds.

In reality, after becoming an Immortal Emperor in the Eastern Emperor Realm, his mount was a dragon. He was initially worried that this familiar dragon might have come over here…

Fortunately, this little dragon loli is not… She is not the familiar dragon from the Eastern Emperor Realm, which is good.

But this little dragon girl… he actually knew her.

There’s no time to say more, as Hun Yuan had already “taken action as ordered,” with nine serpent-like chains extending thousands of meters, sweeping toward the steel city defended by Yan Wuyue.

As he struck, he gave Xia Guixuan a look that meant, “See, I wasn’t lying. You, as an envoy, won’t even get the chance to meet the Divine Creator for negotiations.”

When a Wu Xiang strikes, it surpasses conventional power, beyond what ground-based technology can withstand.

The serpent chains instantly reached their target, and no matter how strong the alloy, how violent the energy, or how intricate the cooperation, nothing could withstand a strike from a Wu Xiang.

“Boom!” The steel city walls were shattered to pieces, even melting into a lump.

The photon cannons on the defense line and the heavy tanks set up inside the city were all reduced to dust like clay.

Yan Wuyue was furious: “You actually disregarded the pact and deployed a Wu Xiang!”

The pact between humans and divine descendants, a treaty, stipulated that if either side deployed extraordinary power, the other side could retaliate without limit.

For instance, if you destroy this defense area, my planet-destroying warship and fusion nukes can bombard any of your tribe’s settlements, annihilate any of your spiritual mountain treasures, or even obliterate an entire continent.

Mutually assured destruction.

Until one side has absolute certainty of annihilating the other or can withstand such extraordinary power, the war between humans and the divine descendants will always remain a localized conflict.

And this time, they actually deployed a Wu Xiang!

“You thought that with the Deputy Marshal seriously injured, the fleet’s response would be sluggish, but you were mistaken.” Yan Wuyue angrily pressed the device in her hand.

There was an immediate response from thousands of miles away.

A strange beam of light, indescribable in color, crossed time and space and suddenly appeared.

Hun Yuan, who was about to capture Yan Wuyue, urgently retracted his hand, the serpent chain almost severed by this beam.

The human’s space-cutting cannon can instantly respond near important commanders, achieving battlefield division across space. It was designed for situations like this, eliminating the need to go to the other side for retaliation? They can immediately protect critical battles on the spot.

Xia Guixuan was amazed by what he saw.

Impressive indeed.

At the same time the space cannon fired at Hun Yuan, the human galactic battleship finally mobilized, soaring into the sky. Satellite analysis of the scene suggested they could engage without needing to act out of anger, thus the star destroyer cannon locked onto the Azure Dragon.

Such a level of responsiveness must be Gongsun Jiu personally commanding. He was also puzzled: How come Xia Guixuan’s diplomatic mission had no feedback at all, and instead, the opposing Wu Xiang collectively joined the battle?

What kind of envoy was this?

Xia Guixuan felt wronged too; he had just arrived and hadn’t said a word before the fighting started. That little dragon loli didn’t even see anyone else, probably unaware of his presence… How was he supposed to act as an envoy?

The little loli with dragon horns still had her hands on her hips: “Come on, use your stinky cannons! I am the most powerful!”

Through the artifact’s transformation, her words were outputted as the dignified, earth-shaking voice of the Azure Dragon: “Foolish humans, you do not recognize divine might!”

Could it be translated like this? Xia Guixuan’s eyes were full of circles.

“Boom!”

The star destroyer cannon arrived in the blink of an eye.

The Azure Dragon indeed did not dodge, facing it head-on. A terrifying mushroom cloud exploded over the sea, pushing the entire seafloor to the continental shelf. The coastline crumbled, inch by inch, spreading all the way to the city’s edge before being blocked by the spatial-cutting cannon.

Yan Wuyue was commanding a retreat, abandoning the defense line.

A battle involving Wu Xiang was beyond what humans could withstand; ensuring the safety of the people was the top priority.

“Divine Creator!” Shang Zhaoye was rushing toward the center of the explosion, looking fiercely loyal and protective.

Hun Yuan gave Xia Guixuan a look and transmitted a thought: “Even if you don’t cooperate with me and stand on the side of humans, shouldn’t you stop Shang Zhaoye at this moment?”

Xia Guixuan replied righteously, “Exactly!”

He also rushed toward the center of the explosion, seemingly to intercept Shang Zhaoye.

Hun Yuan was secretly pleased.

He hadn’t expected a few words of persuasion to actually work. In reality, his entire strategy was based on the certainty that, standing from a human perspective, the opposing side would definitely try to stop the Azure Dragon. This was an absolute truth. Under this premise, whether the opponent tangled with him or with the Azure Dragon and Shang Zhaoye would determine the value of their previous conversation.

It was normal; as long as the other party was rational, after such a conversation, even if he was half-convinced, he wouldn’t inexplicably start a fight with him and would most likely choose to stop Shang Zhaoye.

That was enough.

Just as Xia Guixuan seemed to be about to collide with Shang Zhaoye, Hun Yuan’s nine serpent chains silently transformed into shadows. One attacked Shang Zhaoye from behind, while the remaining eight slipped into the explosion center.

The target was the Azure Dragon.

The goal was to control its soul.

As a Wu Xiang specialized in soul arts, Hun Yuan vaguely sensed that the Azure Dragon was not as strong as it appeared. As long as he seized this unguarded moment, he had a good chance of secretly controlling its soul.

Regardless of whether the so-called Divine Creator’s aura was genuine or not, if it was fake, controlling a Wu Xiang Azure Dragon was still immensely profitable, especially if it carried treasures related to the Divine Creator. If it was real, even better—controlling the Divine Creator himself would allow him to do whatever he pleased.

Reverence and devotion to the Divine Creator? Wouldn’t it be better if there wasn’t such a god suppressing them… Honestly, this should be the true pursuit of a Wu Xiang. If the Divine Creator was the Dao of Heaven, in other words, this would be defying the heavens.

This was the ultimate path for any strong person, and Hun Yuan was very sure of this.

In this respect, he wasn’t wrong.

But as soon as the serpent chain shadows entered the explosion center, Hun Yuan discovered something even more miraculous.

Shang Zhaoye actually passed by Xia Guixuan, and suddenly a long spear artifact appeared in her hand, which she viciously stabbed toward the Azure Dragon’s spine.

And the serpent chain that was supposed to ambush Shang Zhaoye was instead caught by Xia Guixuan with a smiling face.

Hun Yuan: “???”

What was this?

Xia Guixuan and Shang Zhaoye were actually on the same side?

Then… Shang Zhaoye was ambushing the Azure Dragon?

This Azure Dragon must be the most tragic Divine Creator in history. Its demonic subordinate was plotting to ambush it, its seemingly closest female subordinate was also ambushing it, and the human warships were bombarding it.

Within the span of a second, what had this Azure Dragon gone through…

Azure Dragon: “…You all…”

It was already struggling hard enough to withstand the barrage of the humans’ world-destroying cannons, imagining that its subordinates had flattened the human base. How did it come to this?

Hun Yuan didn’t concern himself with the serpent chain being grabbed by Xia Guixuan. Instead, at the last moment, he redirected the eight shadows attacking the Azure Dragon towards Shang Zhaoye.

Whatever Shang Zhaoye was thinking, Hun Yuan believed that, no matter what, it would be laughable if, at the very moment they were attacking the humans, the two priests ended up destroying the very “Divine Creator” that united and inspired the divine descendants.

Since Shang Zhaoye was backstabbing the Azure Dragon, it was up to him to save it, to at least keep the divine descendants united.

Otherwise, they’d be the laughingstock of the humans.

Amidst all the rapid changes, Xia Guixuan finally smiled with satisfaction: “Not bad. Hun Priest’s choice in the last moment shows a good grasp of the bigger picture. Just for this, you are worthy of being my clan. Whether you are righteous or demonic, having small schemes is not a problem.”

As he spoke the first word, he had already grabbed Shang Zhaoye’s spear. At the same time, he gently swept up the eight serpent chains along with the spear, holding them all firmly in his hand.

The two great Wu Xiang were both restrained by his single hand, unable to advance or retreat.

Hun Yuan was horrified.

Shang Zhaoye was bewildered.

Xia Guixuan used his free hand to effortlessly dispel the cannon’s might, then lifted the Azure Dragon by the scruff, like picking up a little girl.
