“Master, don’t worry!” Xiang Yuxuan patted her non-existent chest and assured, “I will immediately contact my family’s merchant fleet. We can definitely catch the Zerterians off guard!”

Xia Guixuan listened to the comical “pom-pom-pom” sound, thinking that Xiao Jiu could have some competition… Of course, he didn’t say this out loud and kept a stern face. “You are a wandering merchant family. How can you provoke a unified star system civilization? Are you looking to get killed?”

“Ah, we can disguise ourselves and engage in guerrilla warfare on the outskirts. No problem.” Xiang Yuxuan slapped her palm with her fist. “How about pretending to be the Big-Headed Pirate Group?”

Xia Guixuan remained expressionless. He didn’t know who the Big-Headed Pirate Group was, nor did he know which pirate group would give themselves such an unthreatening name. Were they trying to scare people with the size of their heads?

It was probably a nickname the little girl came up with… Since the situation was urgent, he didn’t have time to argue with her, so he said, “Then I’ll send you back. Give me the coordinates.”

Xiang Yuxuan hesitated, “According to the human coordinates here? Little Mushroom Galaxy coordinates, α14/β768/γ244 star field marker… Master, do you understand? Or should I convert it to Eastern 140 light-years Gui Mei position, upper 7680 light-years Ji Ji position…”

Before she finished speaking, the little girl let out a scream and disappeared into the black hole Xia Guixuan had torn open.

Shang Zhaoye and Hun Yuan stood quietly, eyes downcast, not daring to speak.

“The majestic Azure Dragon” had fallen, and the image of “mysterious Divine Creator” wasn’t much better, equally collapsed.

Seeing Xia Guixuan looking at them, Shang Zhaoye immediately said, “I will head to space right away to coordinate with the human fleet in battle.”

Xia Guixuan nodded, “You coordinated with Gongsun Jiu last time. This time, you will lead… The other two Wu Xiang priests have infiltrated human territory. Given the current situation, they haven’t made a move yet. Gather them and fight this battle together. We’ll discuss everything else afterward.”

Suppressing her joy, Shang Zhaoye responded firmly, “Yes!”

With this Divine Creator’s nature, as long as this battle was fought well, any previous mistakes would be forgiven.

Hun Yuan shared this thought, and both stood up, ready to take their leave.

As Xia Guixuan dispelled the independent space, he noticed Yan Wuyue, who had been anxiously pacing outside for a long time.

Seeing the space disperse and Xia Guixuan appear unharmed, Yan Wuyue finally breathed a sigh of relief and smiled, “I’m glad you’re okay… What about the divine descendants here…”

She glanced at Shang Zhaoye and Hun Yuan warily, “Are you still going to fight?”

“Ahem.” Shang Zhaoye, full of righteousness, said, “According to the pact, once the Zerterians invade, regardless of our previous conflicts, we immediately cooperate to fight the enemy. We are people who honor our agreements, so we are off.”

Honor your agreement, my foot… Yan Wuyue didn’t argue with them and said to Xia Guixuan, “I need to join the battle quickly. The special operations on the front line will definitely need me. You…”

Xia Guixuan smiled, “I won’t go… For special operations, you can cooperate more with these two. After all, they are Wu Xiang, with top-tier individual combat power.”

Yan Wuyue was about to express her doubts when she heard Hun Yuan say, “R… Rest assured, we will protect your woman.”

Yan Wuyue: “?”

Xia Guixuan: “… Mind your own business and get going!”

Hun Yuan, having flattered in the wrong place, left awkwardly, “I’ll go find the other two priests first.”

Yan Wuyue looked at Xia Guixuan, her cheeks slightly flushed but without further questioning. She quickly said, “I don’t know why you’re not participating in the battle. It seems like something you would be very interested in… But you must have your reasons. I won’t ask more. Farewell.”

With that, she transformed into a stream of fire and vanished instantly.

Xia Guixuan felt she was escaping… She had never fled like this even in the face of a Wu Xiang. It was obvious why, which made him a bit evasive as he looked at Shang Zhaoye, “You’re supposed to lead the team. Why are you still here?”

Shang Zhaoye hesitated, “I also thought you would be very interested in this battle. Aren’t you coming with us to the front?”

“You fight your battle… I have other places to be.” Xia Guixuan looked up at the void and smiled slightly, “I can sense eyes in the void… It feels like some mysterious god is observing this star region’s war… I’ll go meet them.”

Shang Zhaoye was terrified.

This… Does this mean a Tai Qing is involved in this battle?

The Emperor of Zerterians isn’t a Tai Qing. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have been able to hold out for the past 250 years.

Where did this Tai Qing come from?

…

The vast universe, the multiverse—there’s naturally more than one Tai Qing. It’s mostly a matter of different naming conventions since not everyone uses the same cultivation system.

Xia Guixuan’s system is straightforward, divided into seven realms, a classification that simplifies the complexities of the Dao. These seven realms, in another system, might be split into eighteen. The more complex systems aren’t necessarily better; it’s just a different path.

It does not just mean that their early, middle and late stages can become three major realms in the eyes of others, but also that there are differences in the breakthrough thresholds. For example, between Wu Xiang and Tai Qing, others may divide it into one or two more realm systems and take it step by step.

Thus, moving from Wu Xiang to Tai Qing is particularly difficult, and one might get stuck forever. But once the breakthrough is achieved, it’s equivalent to several stages in other systems.

However, this doesn’t mean that dividing into more stages makes it easier. Complex systems have their own issues, which are not elaborated here.

So, don’t underestimate the gap between Wu Xiang and Tai Qing; it might be a huge difference in other systems. Unless one has a protagonist’s template with many unique attributes, dreaming of challenging from perfect Wu Xiang to initial Tai Qing is just that—a dream.

Xia Guixuan had seen the simplest systems with only four stages, from refining essence to merging with the Dao, exemplifying the simplicity of the Dao. Even Xia Guixuan found such simplicity hard to bear.

In summary, Xia Guixuan wasn’t surprised by the appearance of a Tai Qing. What surprised him was why it hadn’t appeared for over two hundred years but did so now, with this war?

And it didn’t participate in the battle…

Well, it’s not surprising that it didn’t participate; it must have sensed Xia Guixuan’s presence.

Xia Guixuan tore open the void, and with a flash, he appeared light-years away.

Spatial migration, a fundamental skill for a seasoned time-space traveler. Stepping out of the time-space tunnel, he found himself on a desolate planet, not spherical, but like a floating island in the void.

The “island” was large, comparable to a continent. Yet in space, it could be considered dust.

On this “island” lay a monster.

A pitch-black, soft-bodied creature like an octopus lay atop it, countless tentacles extending recklessly across the entire planet, coiling layer upon layer. At the center was a massive head, with crimson eyes conveying unspeakable dread, fear, bloodlust, fury, darkness, greed… and desire.

A voice, like the whisper of an ancient god, echoed in the soul, seemingly turning one into a slave of desire.

While the creature seemed like dust in the universe, Xia Guixuan standing before it also appeared as dust.

Yet, this meant nothing to Xia Guixuan.

“Condensation of cosmic dark energy… born from the void fissures created by dimensional rifts, absorbing dark energy, the death and bloodthirst of war, and the negative will of life as nourishment, forming a negative demon…” Xia Guixuan looked up at the blood-red eyes and suddenly smiled, “Is this fissure the one I created in that battle?”

Though he spoke in his native language, it was a direct soul communication, needing no translation.

A deep laughter resonated in the sea of consciousness, “Indeed, it is you… From this perspective, should I also call you my Divine Creator?”

Xia Guixuan smiled, “You can call me dad, whether I acknowledge it is another matter.”

“If you were at your peak like before, I might have called you father.” The dark creature chuckled sinisterly, “Unfortunately, your current power is at most seventy to eighty percent of what it used to be.”

“So you think you can kill me?”

“I can’t kill you yet, my power is still less than yours… But you can’t kill me in your current state either. I just need to hold you off.” The dark creature laughed louder, “I expected to meet some kind of a god, but it turns out to be just you, hahahaha…”

Xia Guixuan clasped his hands and sighed, “I’ve always been curious… are all dark beings a bit deranged? You, a waste still bound in the void rift, projecting a mere thought that don’t dare touch the defenses of the Canglong star system, why do you still love to act tough?”
